Optimized Infrastructure for individual trading models
The Equinix Advanced Financial Services team act in a consulting capacity to the participants of the most important European Trading venues. The focal point is the provision of the optimal infrastructure, taking into account the individual trading models. Hence we differentiate between High Frequency Traders (HFT), for whom latency is of significant importance and Low Frequency Traders (LFT), for whom the minimization of cost and optimum stability of their market presence are the most important priorities.

Equinix Advanced Financial Services Consultancy - Modular Approach
The individual modules are as follows:
- Infrastructure check: An inventory of the current infrastructure, reconciliation of the requirements arising from the specifications of both the trading and the exchanges.
- Weak spot investigation: A three step investigation examining current utilization figures, analysis of the current installation and weak spot identification and remedy
- Technical Concepts & Design: Preparation of technical connectivity concepts taking into account both specifications and the trading's business model, with the objective of showing how an optimized infrastructure based on minimized latency (HFT) or costs (LFT) can be structured.
- Cost Comparison Analysis: Technical concept costs are shown, compared and subsequently evaluated to form the basis for strategic investment decisions.
- Strategic Consultancy provides the connectivity model, planning and implementation of the required measures.
The modules may be combined or used as an individual component. The measures recommended by Equinix may be implemented by the customer independently or with our support.
