Charles J. Meyers

President, Equinix Amériques

Charles Meyers joined Equinix in 2010 from Verisign where he was Group President of Messaging and Mobile Media, holding P&L responsibility for the company’s entire mobile portfolio. Mr. Meyers was also a Product Group Executive at Versign with P&L responsibility for the more than $500 million Security and Communications portfolio.

Prior to Verisign, Mr. Meyers held various executive positions at Level 3 Communications including Group VP of Global Marketing, President of IP and Data Services and SVP, Softswitch Services. During his tenure, Mr. Meyers helped Level 3 emerge as a premier global provider of Internet and VoIP services.

Mr. Meyers also previously served as a Principal with Kinetic Ventures L.L.C, where he focused on business opportunities across telecommunications infrastructure, broadband services, wireless and enterprise software. As Vice President and General Manager for Internet Security Systems, he was part of the company's successful IPO and championed the evolution of enterprise solutions through a managed services model.

Mr. Meyers held executive positions in operations, finance, and business development during his career with Bellsouth Telecommunications and Bellsouth.net, culminating with his appointment as President and Chief Operating Officer of that unit.

At Booz-Allen & Hamilton, he led the creation of world-class performance initiatives for technology and engineering clients.

Mr. Meyers earned dual Master’s from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and McCormick Graduate School of Engineering. He also holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado.

Sushil (Sam) Kapoor

Directeur des Opérations d’Equinix États-Unis

Sam Kapoor est arrivé chez Equinix en 2001 après avoir été vice-président des activités d’hébergement chez WorldCom. À ce poste, il était responsable de l’aménagement et de l’exploitation quotidienne de six centres d’hébergement. Avant l’acquisition de la société par WorldCom, M. Kapoor a été vice-président de l’exploitation du réseau mondial de CompuServe Network Services. Il était responsable de l’ingénierie, de la mise en œuvre et de l’exploitation du réseau mondial de CompuServe. Avant son arrivée chez CompuServe, M. Kapoor a occupé pendant plus de 10 ans le poste de directeur principal des télécommunications chez Lexis-Nexis à Miamisburg (Ohio).

M. Kapoor est titulaire d’un M.B.A. (recherche opérationnelle) de la Miami University de l’Ohio et d’une maîtrise en génie électrique de l’Université de Cincinnati.

Dan Walker

Sr. Vice President, Sales, Americas Region

Dan Walker joined Equinix in 2000 and has over fifteen years of sales experience in the high-tech industry. He has held several senior-level sales management positions within Equinix prior to assuming his current role at the start of 2008. He spearheaded Equinix’s solution offering to the financial industry by helping create the Equinix Financial Exchange (EFX) product in 2003. Prior to Equinix, Mr. Walker has also held high-level sales positions at AMP Incorporated and Globix.

Mr. Walker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Dayton.

Eric Schwartz

Président d’Equinix Europe

Eric Schwartz est arrivé chez Equinix en 2006 et y a occupé différents postes de dirigeant supérieur. Il a mené l’expansion d’Equinix en Europe, notamment l’acquisition d’IXEurope en 2007 et l’intégration continue des opérations européennes d’Equinix dans ses activités mondiales. En tant que président d’Equinix Europe, M. Schwartz supervise la gestion, la stratégie et le développement d’Equinix en Europe.

M. Schwartz est arrivé chez Equinix après avoir été vice-président des télécommunications IP chez BellSouth et avoir dirigé le développement et la mise en œuvre de technologies avancées, notamment le VoIP. Avant de travailler chez BellSouth, il a été vice-président directeur de la société Harold A. Dawson Company, un promoteur immobilier d’Atlanta. M. Schwartz est également un ancien membre de McKinsey & Co., où il a conseillé des entreprises de télécommunications et de services financiers aux États-Unis et en Asie sur des questions stratégiques.

M. Schwartz a obtenu un M.B.A. de Harvard Business School ainsi qu’un B.S. en génie électrique et un B.A. en économie de Stanford University.

Michel Brignano

Directeur Général, France

Michel Brignano est arrivé chez Equinix en janvier 2007, apportant une expertise acquise à différents postes technico-commerciaux. Il a auparavant été directeur général chez Telecity pendant plus de cinq ans. Il était alors responsable de la stratégie et des solutions commerciales pour la France. Avant d’occuper ce poste, il a rempli différents rôles commerciaux. Après avoir été chef des ventes chez DELL Computers de 1993 à 1997 et directeur commercial chez UUNET de 1997 à 2001, il a d’abord travaillé pour la division France, puis dans toute l’Europe méridionale.

Marco Dottarelli

General Manager Switzerland

Marco joined Equinix in 2010 bringing with him a wealth of experience in IT, Sales & Marketing and business management.

During six years prior to joining Equinix he was employed as Managing Director EMEA at LSI where he was responsible for the Sales and Marketing organization of the Engenio Storage Group Division.

He successfully drove the expansion of the business into several growth markets, including Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

Marco’s solid experience in Sales and Marketing is drawn  from his previous roles including that of General Manager Indirect Channels and Managing Director Switzerland at Storage Tek and Customer Service Manager at Bull (Switzerland) AG.

Michiel Eielts

Directeur général, Pays-Bas

Michiel Eielts est arrivé chez Equinix en 2009 et il est responsable des datacentres IBX d’Amsterdam, d’Enschede et de Zwolle. Il apporte plus de 20 ans d’expérience dans le secteur de l’informatique et des télécommunications aux Pays-Bas. Avant d’entrer chez Equinix, il travaillait chez Nedstat, société européenne de mesure d’audience et d’analyse de sites Internet, où il occupait le poste de vice-président du développement commercial et était chargé du développement et de la gestion des partenariats dans toute l’Europe. Plus tôt dans sa carrière, il a rempli plusieurs fonctions de commercial et de directeur à la direction régionale de KPN. Il a quitté son poste de directeur général pour entrer au conseil d’administration de Telfort, opérateur néerlandais de téléphonie fixe et mobile. Il a notamment été chargé du développement et de l’introduction sur le marché de nouveaux services de transmission de données (réseaux IP gérés) et mobiles (BlackBerry), de la croissance des marchés des entreprises et du développement du marché de la vente en gros de téléphonie mobile. Il a aussi été directeur général de BSC, grande société de sous-traitance de centres d’appel dont le siège social se trouve aux Pays-Bas (filiale d’Essent).

Russell Poole

Directeur Général, Royaume-Uni

Russell Poole est arrivé en tant que directeur général pour le Royaume-Uni en avril 2000, avec neuf ans d’expérience dans les secteurs des télécommunications et d’Internet au Royaume-Uni. De 1998 à 2000, M. Poole a été directeur de MessageNet Ltd, prestataire de services de sécurité pour Internet et les messageries. Responsable des ventes et de l’exploitation, il a aussi dirigé le développement d’e:)scan, le premier service antivirus et de contrôle de contenu d’e-mail en Europe. En octobre 1999, Articon-Integralis AG a fait l’acquisition de MessageNet. Entre 1993 et 1998, M. Poole a été responsable national des ventes chez General Telecom, la division des télécommunications de General Cable Plc. Pendant cette période, il a développé l’entreprise, dont l’équipe commerciale est passée de 4 à 35 commerciaux répartis sur trois établissements, et le chiffre d’affaires annuel de 3 millions à 25 millions de livres.

M. Poole a préparé un diplôme d’ingénieur de la production à Nottingham University. Après avoir voyagé pendant douze mois, il fait ses premières armes de dirigeant chez Coca-Cola et Schweppes, où il a fait une brillante carrière de responsable clientèle.

Jörg Rosengart

Directeur Général, Allemagne

Jörg est arrivé chez Equinix en 2005, lorsque la société a fait l’acquisition de Gesellschaft für Informationstechnologie und Consulting mbH (GIC), la principale société de continuité de service en Allemagne. Jörg a auparavant été directeur général et actionnaire de GIC pendant plus de cinq ans, durant lesquels il a joué un rôle déterminant dans le développement de la société et son arrivée en tête du marché. Jörg a fait des études d’ingénierie des télécommunications pendant les années 1970 et il a poursuivi sa carrière chez Texas Instruments, Deutsche Bank et IMS Data, où il a accédé au poste de directeur de datacentre, puis de directeur général.

Michael Winterson

VP Sales, Europe

Michael has been working in a sales and marketing capacity in the European IT industry for over 20 years. He joined the Equinix European Management team as VP Sales & Marketing in 2007 following the acquisition on IX Europe. Michael brought a wealth of channel and vertical industry experience to this position, having successfully led the sales organization for IX Europe, leading to the float on the London Stock Market (AIM) in 2006. During this time Michael was instrumental in helping IX Europe establish data centre services in France, Germany, the UK and Switzerland.

Previous roles include that of European Sales & Marketing Director for Computer Peripheral manufacturer TechWorks, where he played an important role in their start up, growth and acquisition strategy.

Michael has a degree in Economics from Northwestern University and a Masters in International Economics from the Hautes Etudes Internationales, University of Geneva

Asie-Pacifique

Samuel Lee

Président d’Equinix Asie-Pacifique

M. Samuel Lee a joint Equinix en 2000 et est maintenant le président d’Equinix Asie-Pacifique. En tant que son rôle, il surveille supervise la gestion, la stratégie et le développement d’Equinix en Asie-Pacifique. Précédemment, M. Lee était directeur général d'Equinix Hong Kong, et sous la direction de M. Lee, Equinix a également pu accéder à une solide position en proposant des services de continuité de l’activité et de reprise après sinistre au secteur des services financiers à Hong Kong.

M. Lee apporte une richesse d'expérience des telecom et des services d'Internet aussi bien que l'expertise dans la domaine de startup. Avant d’arriver chez Equinix en 2000, M. Lee était directeur général de Pacific Gateway Exchange (PGE), un opérateur longue distance, FAI et fournisseur de bande passante en gros et au détail. M. Kei Furuta

Managing Director, Equinix Japan

Kei Furuta joined Equinix with a wealth of international consulting and management experience in Internet and Telecommunications industry, particularly with a specialization in marketing and developing global services, investment in high-tech ventures, and advisory for many industry service providers.  As the managing director for Equinix Japan, Mr. Furuta is responsible for the overall performance of Equinix’s operation in Japan.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Furuta held various executive positions in industry leading data center operators, an internet consulting firm and a mobile service provider.  He also served as regional head at AboveNet and Sprint where he managed the operation in Japan and Korea.  Mr. Furuta was also a founder of Energy Initiative Japan (EIJapan), an engineering and consulting firm for energy-saving and environmental technologies.

Mr. Furuta started the first 15 years of his career at Marubeni Corporation, one of the leading Japanese trading houses where he held various management positions in global technology and telecom business development.

Mr. Furuta holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Waseda University, Tokyo.

Clement Goh

Directeur Général d’Equinix Singapour

En tant que directeur général à Singapour, Clement Goh est responsable des performances générales du centre IBX de Singapour. Sa mission consiste à augmenter la part du marché local et régional, la rentabilité et l’efficacité opérationnelle.

M. Goh a occupé plusieurs postes clés dans des multinationales à vocation technologique et il a joué un rôle essentiel dans l’expansion rapide des sociétés pour lesquelles il a travaillé. Avant d’entrer chez Equinix, il était directeur principal des ventes et du marketing chez Datastream en Asie-Pacifique. Avant de travailler chez Datastream, M. Goh a été directeur des programmes de terrain chez McDATA en Asie-Pacifique, où il a mené le développement commercial dans la région tout en renforçant les relations avec les géants de la technologie EMC et Dell. M. Goh a aussi occupé des postes de dirigeant chez EMC Singapore, Oracle Systems Singapore et Agilent Technologies.

M. Goh détient un Bachelor of Engineering en génie électrique et électronique de la National University de Singapour.

Tony Simonsen

Managing Director, Equinix Australia

As the Managing Director for Equinix Australia, Tony Simonsen is responsible for the overall performance of the company’s IBX centres in Australia. This includes increasing local and regional market share, profitability, and operational efficiency.

Mr Simonsen has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the IT industry, having previously held a number of senior executive roles with companies such as Cisco and EMC.

Mr Simonsen joined Equinix in 2012 from global technology firm Pitney Bowes, where he was the Managing Director of Australia and also played a key role in building the Enterprise strategy across the Asia Pacific region. Over his time at Pitney Bowes, he was successful in driving transformational change in their mature markets and creating new revenue streams to enter new markets and ensure company sustainability.

At Cisco he led the Advanced Services business across the Asia Pacific region which played a key role in the adoption of new and advanced technologies into the marketplace. At EMC he led the Global Services function across the Austria and New Zealand territory. Key responsibilities were for Pre Sales, Consulting, Managed Services, Professional Services and Support.

Mr Simonsen has completed programs in Strategic and Operational Management at Sydney, New South Wales and Macquarie University along with becoming a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Alex Tam

Managing Director, Equinix Greater China

With over 20 years experience in the ICT industry, Tam is responsible for the overall performance of the business and operations in Hong Kong, and leading the expansion of Equinix’s business in the China region.

Most recently Tam was General Manager of Data Centers at British Telecom (BT), where he was responsible for establishing the company’s Hong Kong data center operation and developing the data center and IT outsourcing services strategy. He also aligned the Asia Pacific data center plan with the global business strategy.

Prior to BT, he was the Chief Executive Officer of iAdvantage Ltd, managing the data centre business in Hong Kong and China. At iAdvantage, Tam was in charge of strategic planning, business development, sales and marketing, technical operations and customer support. In addition he led the Internet infrastructure services of the SUNeVision Group, the mother company of iAdvantage.

Before that Tam held management positions at Hutchison Telecommunications and Hongkong Telecom, where he was responsible for the technical development and operations of the telecommunications, Internet and electronic commerce services.

Tam holds a M.Sc. degree in Global Business from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a B.Sc. degree in Engineering from The University of Hong Kong.

Doug Oates

Vice-Président des Ventes d’Equinix Asie-Pacifique

Doug Oates a plus de 30 ans d’expérience dans le secteur des Télécommunications en Australie, en Hong Kong et en Afrique du Sud. M. Oates est arrivé chez Equinix en mai 2000 et était Responsable Commerciale d’Equinix sur le marché dans la région de l'Asia Pacific. En tant que son rôle de Vice Président des Ventes, M. Oates surveille les ventes stratégie, l'exécution et la croissance de la région.

Avant ce rôle il était responsable de l'opération d'Equinix en Australie. Précédemment Directeur de Carrier des services à Pacific Gateway Exchange, il a auparavant contribué à établir les services téléphoniques internationaux proposés aux autres opérateurs par la société en Australie. Sa mission consistait entre autres à négocier des équipements d’interconnexion avec les opérateurs, ainsi qu’à développer la clientèle de la société. Il avait auparavant été directeur général des ventes chez Global One. Pendant six ans, il a géré le développement commercial de la société à partir du stade de start-up.

M. Oates détient un diplôme en télécommunications.
